Period 3 Weight Training Blog # 8

People are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and unfortunately are starting to shut it down early instead of picking up speed and running towards the light. What I mean by that is we are not working as hard in class as we should be. Share with the class one thing that has worked for you in the past to get you refocused when you start to slip.

One thing that has helped me refocus in the past is when a teacher/mentor motivates me by giving me a lecture.

When i lift weights or excercise, the best way for me to keep working hard is to zone out into a more meditative state almost. I can do this by listening to music or just relaxing. This makes it so i dont notice the pain or anything and i just keep going.

When I am lifiting weights, I find that it helps me to work harder wen i hear like really obnoxious music and it makes me motivate myself to work harder and also when a teacher motivates me to work harder.

Make a workout mix and listen to it during class. It gets you working harder. When I get tired on Metcon days, I tell myself not to take a break until the song I'm listening to is over.

Listing to music helps make me work harder and refocus. Also making things a competition helps me strive to work harder and stop being as lazy.

One thing that helps me is when i realize i am slacking and self motivate myself to work harder. Plus, after the spring project is over i should have more time to focus on weight training.

Listening to music and competing against someone helps me refocus. Also when I start to notice results it helps me refocus.

One thing that has helps me refocus is to listen to pump up music or work out with a friend. Working out with a partner lets me motivate me and him motivate me.

i feel like when you work out it calms you down and just makes you feel more relaxed, the harder you work the more you get out of it. listening to music while working out seems to help alot.

Well, for me its not really a "light at the end of the tunnel" type of thing, if anything, I want to exercise more because I am busy throughout the day and need the extra boost to help me not fall asleep during class or afterschool type of things.

I've found that when I workout before classes, I'm less lazy and get more work done, and have better grades, since Weight lifting is Period 3, my first two periods really prove that I struggle when I'm tired even though they are my two easiest classes.

So really I use the workouts from weight lifting to keep me from slacking off as much, and when I do nothing during that period and slack off, my grades go lower, knowing that if I push myself for a little bit that it will help me boost my grades.

something that helps me get back on track is a motivational speech, or advice for new exercises.
