One concept is to get open at all times. It will be easier for you to do if you keep moving around the court.
Another concept for basketball would be keeping the basketball in your possesion. This would be done by passing the ball to your team mates, whenever you thought that someone eles is close to getting the ball.
One invasion game concept we have learned so far in this baksetball unit is creating space. One way you can create space in a basketball game is by moving without the ball. You do this by, if you don't have the ball, then run away from your teammate who does have the ball and let him have some space for more room to shoot or drive.

BASKETBALL:
defending the basket,
you can do
ball
you
basket
so that you can try to get the ball from the opponent.
attacking the basket,
shoot inside the paint so you have more precision and it is easier to make the basket and pass it around a lot to make your opponents have to run around to follow the ball.

Invasion Game Concepts. . .
Space-something a team tries to create to open passing lanes and opportunities to shoot/score points
Passing-good use of teamwork; giving the ball to another member of the team so they can a)create more space b)take a shot at the basket or c)have the ball ;)
Offense-attacking the basket in order to score
Defense-stopping the offense from scoring and eventually rebounding the ball so then they can shoot

One concept is to move around and get open so your team members can pass to you. Around 70% of the game you are moving without the ball.
