Advanced Weight Training Period 7

This week we are maxing out to find our 1 rep max strength. Starting next week you will be starting your workouts to increase strength. The workout schedule for the next 4 weeks will be as follows:

Workout A Squat - 3 sets of 5 repititions (not inclucing warm-up sets)
Bench Press - 3 X 5 (this means 3 sets of 5 repititions - not including warm-up sets)
Deadlift - 1 X 5 (this means 1 set of 5 repititions - not including warm-up sets)

Workout BSquat - 3 X 5
Press - 3 X 5
Dumbell Swings - 3 X 10

We are going to be doing these workouts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, rotating the workouts(for example Monday = Workout A, Wednesday = Workout B, Friday = Workout A, Next Monday = Workout B).

On Tuesday and Thursday we will be working on Form, Strength Concepts, or Active Rest activities. Since we are just begining, each workout it is essential for you to make a strength gain. I expect your strength to increase with each workout! We need to be able to measure this progress!

What are some ways that we will be able to show that you are increasing in strength each workout? What are some things we need to do to ensure your are increasing strength with each workout?

No one has answered the questions I have asked. Can I get a brave person to attempt the answer?

Some ways that show you are increasing in strength is if the workout becomes easier than before to complete. In order to ensure you are increasing in strength with each workout you must lift with correct form and with intensity.

Show that we're increasing in strength:

-set realistic weight goals that can be attained each day (like increasing 5-15 lbs), nothing ridiculous
-continue to keep the personal weight log

Ensure that we're increasing in strength:

-no one doing homework or stuff like that
-good weight room music.. I recommend that Lloyd Banks g-unit
-just push ur teammate in the weightroom like summer workouts
-eat and drink right

To ensure that we are getting maximum results out of every workouts we should have some sort of competition during the workouts.

We need to increase weight each time we lift and chart it to be sure that we are increasing each workout.

I agree with everyone else... as a mater of fact, I think it should be a requirement that the weight we record increases every week. Requiring all students to lift heavier weights would push them, keep them attentive and prevent them from slacking off. Grade us on our improvement.

About the music... loyd banks sucks... g-unit sucks. 50 cent is like the dr. seuss of hip hop. Forget that.

We show an increase in strength by seeing if they weight you started on becomes easier and if your max increases. To accomplish this you need to use the correct form and do the weights that you can do, not the weight that makes you look stronger.
