Team positions. A basketball team has five players that play five different postions.
1. A "1" is the point guard. This person is the best dribbler and passer. This person brings the ball down the court and has the best chance of maintaining possesion of the ball if pressure is put on.
2. A "2" is the shooting guard. This person has the best shot on the team. You want this person to shoot the ball for you the most.
3. A "3" is the small forward. This person is a pretty good at shooting and rebounding. They will cut through the lane and be a threat.
4. A "4" is the power forward. This person is a great rebounder and will spend most of the time with their back to the basket, or playing in the post. They will take close shots and look to rebound every ball.
5. A "5" is the center. This person is usually the tallest person on the team and specializes in shot blocking and rebounding. On offense, they are like the power forward and play close to the basket.
Please look at your team and assign the players on your team a role or position as described. Put the number next to their name from 1-5 and put yourself last with whichever number you think you will fit into and why.

I'm pretty tall and good at rebounds and lay-ups so i would like to be close to the basket(power forward) Nina is also tall and aggressive so she would be center, adam- point guard b/c he's fast, derek- shooting guard and julia and roberta small forward's

I think this because my team nominated me as this. Hasaan is the second best so I think that he should be the point guard and the shooting guard as well. Angela and Rachel are the centers because they are the tallest girls. Helena should be the small forward because she can cuts pretty good.

I know I'm not the best basketball player, and I still have yet to test out my strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, I should be the small forward because it is one only has to be pretty good and it is a fairly well-rounded position.

I guess I could fit into any position if I try, but I chose 5 based on what our team would need me to do, even though I'm not the tallest. I do play best though close to the hoop/layups, well with my friends anyways. I don't know what everyone is good at on our team yet, so I'm basing positions off what my other teammates have said already, because they know each other better than I do.

Sam is the best dribbler and passer, he normally has possession of the ball and it's hard for defensive to take it from him.
Kevin, Sam, and Esgar are all good shots, but Kevin might be better suited to this than the others.
Esgar and Sam are good at both shooting and rebounding, so either could play this position.
Me- I'm not very good at maintaining possession of the ball, and I can pass well if I have it, so I think I am the most suited to rebounding.
5 Esgar and Allie play good defense, so they would be good at blocking and rebounding.

i would put nathan as the point gaurd because hes fast and good at dribbling, i would put alex as the shooting gaurd because he makes most of his shoots and can also make far away shoots, i would put me as the small forward im pretty good at shooting but im not the best and not the worst, i would put david as a power forward since he can most likely have a better chance making shoots from closer up and i would put maddie as center because shes so tall and can shoot and rebound very well
