Period 2 Blog #7 Your Turn

We have been working on Maintaining Possesion of the ball, Attack Space and Defending Space through gameplay! We have found that all invasion games are basicly the same with different skills, same concepts.

I would like you to create your own invasion game. Please name it, talk about what kind of equipment we will need and 3 rules that make it different from other sports. Please make sure your game is fun as well!

a game that i would make would be called playball, and basically you would only use your hands and feet and try and kick or throw the ball away from the other team and make a goal.

i would create soccer hockey. you'll need for this game hockey sticks, a soccer ball, 2 goals, your brain, and finally confidence. the 3 rules that will make different from other sports is you play hockey, soccer and both combined. also if the soccer ball if hit by foot and/or hockey stick out of bound you switch it to the other sport like if it was hockey it will be soccer. also if the ball makes it in the goal you both soccer and hockey at the same time. a supporting rule to the last rule i stated is if you are play both spaots at the same time and hit it out of bounds the way it was hit out will be switch. this will help players by devoleping in 2 sports at once and sincethey are SIMILAR sports.

my invasion game will be a version of soccer and basketball you will have to kick the ball in the hoop, the rules are no hands but anything else is cool, also there is 3 people on one team, and the last one is that there are no fouls.

i would create a game called soccer basket. and what you would do is that you have to dribble the soccer ball all the way until the half mark and using your hands, score in a basket to make a goal.3 things that makes this game different is instead you use a soccer ball to put through the hoops. also you can only us your feet until you reach the half way mark of the court in order to pick up the ball and shoot. lastly you can only steal the ball when it's reaches your side of the court but you can block it.

footsketball-basketball with football.
Played with a basketball and football.
The game has 2 teams each divided into two classes. Each team has a football class and a basketball class. It is played with fottball rules in the gym from one baseline to the other, fullcourt.Once one team reaches the baseline (endzone) The "extra point" is attempted where the basketball class comes on to the court for both teams and if the team that just scored makes a basket inside the arc, they get 2 extra points and if they make a basket from behind the arc, they get 3 extra points. It would be different because there are two different skill sets involved in attacking the (2) goals. Also the since the two balls used are different shapes, the gameplay varies for football class and basketball class. "onside kicks" would work by taking a halfcourt shot on the opposing teams goal. If the bball goes in the shooting team retains possesion. "Field Goal blocks" would be swatted shots. Punts would work with the team in possesion throwing the football as far as possible.

I would make a game called Jerai. There would be a small ball the size of a tennis ball which you would fling across with lacross sticks. only half the team would have these sticks. the other half would have baseball bats and they would be the only ones allowed to score. the people with the lacross sticks would be responsible for throwing the ball to the other members with the bats so they could hit it in the goal.
(rules)you are not allowed to touch the ball with anything other than the equipment. only members with baseball bats can score and scoring is based on number of passes(1 point per each one)/steals(3points per steal) before a goal

My game is a combination of capture the flag and football, its called PointOne (origional title a'int it?) The game is played on a football feild which is split up into two sections at the 50 yard line. The objective of the game is to take your team's ball (which starts on your side) and get it to the other team's endzone. Each team starts out with one ball on their side. When one team scores, the teams reset. There are ways to prevent somebody from scoring. If someone from the other team comes onto your side, then you can tackle them, or drag them off the feild, if someone is tackled, or dragged off the feild, they are out of the game until one team scores. Each side can only have 10 players on it at a time. When one team scores you may call a time out and substitute players. The only things you will need for this game is enough people, two balls, and a football feild, or some other open area.

I would create a game called airball. It's basically about that you can't let the ball touch your body for more than 2 sec. You can either use the volleyball skills or dribele as basketball. For the goal, you would use basketball hoop so you only can shoot to make the goal as basketball. The last rule is that the team who make 6 goals first win the game.

CRUSHBALL!!!

This is basically a revised version of dodgeball. You would still use a volleyball and each team would have 12 people on their side. 3 players for midfield, 4 defense, and 4 offense. The last player, usually the biggest guy would be the goalie. Everybody would be wearing armor and the goalie would be wearing superarmor. Unlike dodgeball where you throw the ball around and try to hit someone out, in crushball you have to ram at least 3 people on the opposing team down. Then take the volleyball and try to score a goal outside the goalie box which would be about a 10ft by 8ft box. The defenders would have to jump to help the goalie protect the goal and intercept the throw that opposing team throws. The first team to reach 20 points win or by the end of the time.

The game that I would play has already been played a few times by kids on my street. It's called "Brugby." You need a balloon, two endzones, and four players. You can only pass a total of three times when running down the field, you have to pass backwards, and if you get tackled your team loses possession. You need to touch the balloon to the ground in the endzone to get a point, and the first person to five points wins.

the game that i would create would be where there would be two balls, and 2 people would be chosen to keep those balls, and using only your feet, you would have to try and get those balls away from those two people...the trick is the rest of the people would be divided into two groups and they would stand in two lines in front of each person... so then each person who is next in line would go up and try to get the ball away from the "chosen" person... they have 30 seconds to do so. if they do not succeed...they are out for that round of the game

my invasion game would be soccer and volleyball. You can use your feet and hands. You can drible the ball down to the goal and pass to people or you can bump it to people like volley ball. there are goals like soccer but no nets like volleyball. The rules are you can use only your feet and hands, no head or anything else. Just manage to get the ball down to the goal. You can also only keep the ball with you for 3 seconds. If you take longer then the ball is given to the other team.

I would call my game "headball" and you would use a volleyball in order to play this game. In order to pass you may use your hands only, but you also must only use your head to score a goal. You cannot shoot the ball up to yourself, you must have a team-mate set it up for you.

I guess I would make a game that is a cross between basketball and soccer. You would have to dribble a ball bout the size of a soft ball, and throw it, or kick it into a goal at the end. You would have the same rules for dribbling as basketball (ie, no traveling, double dribbling...)

There would be 4 people on a team, and you can kick the ball too, you just can't kick the ball in a certain area around the goal. There would be a goalie too. It would be like indoor soccer and have no outs.

the object of the game is to get the ball to the other side of the playing area, and throw it into the goal, marked by cones. Players cannot hold the ball for more than 5 seconds and must pass at least once before they score, they can run as much as the want while trying to get to the goal. The defending team can get the ball from the offending team by catching it mid air during a pass, or by knocking it out of the offending player's hand.

required equipment would be a ball, and cones to mark the goals

the game would be called coneball, because you use cones and a ball =D

A game I would make is called volley-basket. It is similar to a volleyball drill that you have to bump or set the ball into a basketball basket. In this game you can only bump and set. There is no net and you must pass the ball using bumping or setting to get to your basket. After you get the ball you cannot move and must pass the ball. This game would need a volleyball and a basketball basket. The object of the game is to get as many scores as possible.

My game would be called Get-The-Ball-To-The-Other-Side!. The equipment are:
1. a wide open space
2. two balls
3. something to mark the beacon. The object of the game is to get the ball from one side to the opponent's beacon without being tagged. The ball can be thrown any direction to an another teammate. There is 5 people in each two teams. Among the 5 people one of them have to be a doctor. The doctor's role is when one of his/her team member gets tagged (frozen), the doctor can run over and free that person. But, the doctor have 3 lives. So, if the doctor gets tagged 3 times, the doctor is out. Then the other teammates has one life.
The rules are:
1. If the ball gets dropped or the player holding the ball gets tagged, it goes back where it came from.
2. If a teammate gets tagged, they are frozen until the doctor comes and free him/her. If the doctor gets out, each teammember, who is one that doctor's side, who then gets tagged, is out too.
3. If the ball touch the beacon but rolls out, it is NOT an in. Then, the ball goes back to the other side.

If I had to create a sport, it would be called spring-ball. In the game, there are about 5 people on each team. The field would be about 2 gyms combined. Each person is given a wooden club, a fat wide one for goalies, regular size ones for attackers and semi-large ones for defense. Attached to everyones feet are 2 giant springs that launch you about 10-15 feet into the air. The players must use only their clubs to hit a super bouncy ball into a goal suspended 12 feet in midair on each side of the court. The rules are that ypu can only use your club or ypur head to put the ball in the gaol. You can also use the club to hit the opponent, but not too aggressively.
Finally, no one can come within 10 feet of thegaol or it is automatic disqualification.

I would create a game called skillball. The objective of the game is to score the ball into the opposing team's goal. To make this game successful, you need to incorporate skills from basketball and soccer. You may use your feet at all times and you may dribble (like in basketball) three consecutive times.

the game i would make would be called basketball soccer. you would need a rubber ball and two goals. you have to dribble to ball but to shoot/score you have to kick it in the goal. another rule is that you cant touch the ball with your feet unless your until your 5 feet away from the goal. and the last rule is you cant pass bacwards, only forwards, unless inside the shooting area.

A version of soccer where there are three balls. Each time starts out with one ball and there is one ball that starts in the middle. The objective is to try and steal the other teams soccer ball while scoring. the game ends when one team has possession of all three balls, and has scored at least 3 times. When someone misses an attempt of the goal, the defending team gets the ball. Thus to win, one team must score and after scoring, steal a ball back and continue to score atleast thrice before they can win. If a team scores three times, then all they have to do to win is steal the 4 soccer balls from the other team.

If a team has three points, they can't get a soccer ball by just letting in a goal.

My game would be slapball. You have rackets that have a little pocket in them. the object of the game would be to throw a little ball around from teamate to teamate without trying to drop it on the floor of let the other team catch it. You have to make it into the other teams hoops. there are two hoops. a short one and tall one. if you score in the short one it is worth 5 points and the tall hoop is 10 points.
