Period 7 Weight Training Blog # 8

People are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and unfortunately are starting to shut it down early instead of picking up speed and running towards the light. What I mean by that is we are not working as hard in class as we should be. Share with the class one thing that has worked for you in the past to get you refocused when you start to slip.

when I start to slip I focus on what this could mean for the future. Having the wong mindset now could hurt me during the fooball season.

One thing that has worked for me in the past to get me refocused when I start to slip is my sense of pride. Everybody lifts different weights. However, if I watch others at my lifting level enjoy consistent improvement while I get stuck on a plateau, and the only reason is my laziness, that aggrevates me. So I refocus myself.

When I start to slip, one thing that I do is think about how I can rest once I finish what I am doing. It is easier to finish out strong and rest later, then finish out slow.

one thing that has worked for me is to focus on the goal that we are striving to achieve like states in lax or states in football

When i start to slip, I think to myself "If i give up on this, how will i be able to follow through with anything i start?".

One thing that I have done in the past that helps me refocus when I start to slip during workouts is when I think about how the workout will improve my strength or what ever i am working on. Also how it will effect the way I play in my sports. In the end, it will all pay off.

One thing that has worked for me in the past to get me refocused when I start to slip is watching other people try to get a certain weight and when i watch them fail.. i'll step in and push myself to the limit and get that weight they failed on.

one thing that has worked for me in the past to get refocused is if everyone in the class is working hard together and pushing each other so noone is left out and also when we are being graded more strictly

when i lose focus i find it is because i have something else going on in my life. so losing the distractions definately helps me refocus and maintain my goals.

One thing that I've found doesn't help me is looking back on where I was. If I see how far I've come I begin to feel so content that I have less drive to move forward. Focusing on what I can do and not what I've done helps move me forward.

wut makes me focus to lift is knowing the purpose of my workout. I really don have any goal rite now. i need to find new purpose and set a goal to excercise and lift.

When I start to lose focus I look around and see other kids working hard and knowing I only have one shot at working hard in which I will never get it back. That helps me worker harder, longer, faster, knowing that I will be stronger and more fit than before.

My motivation comes from competition. I can usually last out longer if the score means something.

I usually do better under competition. When the results matter then I'm more likely to push myself further

To help me get refocused when I stop and think about the next football seaon thats coming up soon.I need to get stronger but thats not going to happen if I waste good opportunities like weight training that I could be spending getting stronger, and if I see evryone else working hard then why shouldnt I be.I feel we should all be working hard to get stronger, especially the athlestes i our class who waste time doing nothing. We should all be wroking hard which is why metecon workouts are the best because they involve intense focus which makes us stronger in the end. ~Riell Swann~

One thing that makes me want to work harder is when i remember the kind of shape i was in when i worked out for monthes in a row. I know if u skip a day that your supposed to workout you lose a lot more then you think -Robbie

What makes me work hard is when people that are more experienced than me influence me and teach me how to do certain things. I also like to watch clips of my basketball idols so it could motivate me to work hard
