5 things that I can do in any game situation are:
1. create open space- I can use this tactic in basketball because the ball-handler will now have room to drive to the basket and score.
2. move to open space- I can use this tactic in football becuase if I move to open space, the quarterback can throw the ball to me.
3. pass- I can use this tactic in basketball because if I pass the ball when other defenders are around me, I can pass the ball so they have to shift over to the person with the ball.
4. shield the ball- I can use this tactic in basketball because if I put my arm out to protect the ball, when the defenders try to steal the ball, but they hit my arm, they get a foul called on them.
5. dribble- I can use this tactic to move the ball around to give my teammates time to move into open space or create open space so I can either pass the ball to them or drive in.

In football you could throw short passes to make sure you dont get the ball intercepted(1). Also make sure your teammates are open when you throw the ball to them so you dont lose the ball(2). And to those recievers; make sure to get open and away from the opposing team to be able to catch the ball without threat to losing the ball(3). When a running back, hold the ball with two hands and close to your chest to make sure you will not fumble the ball or have it stripped(4). And one of the most important things is to not pass/throw the ball without looking to try and fake out the other team. Its not worth the chance because a person on the other team can intercept the ball without you seeing.....this kind of applies more to basketball(5).

a couple of ways you can keep possession of the ball would be
1.) In basketball you can pass the ball with your teammates so the ball would stay on your side
2.) moving without the ball would be one way because in football or basketball its a a good way to get open for a pass
3.) Don't take huge risks like bombs down the field like in football, maintain the ball by running with it or short passes that way you can get yards in a careful way
4.) holding on to the ball would be a good way because in football or basketball you got to hold on to it tightly so the ball wont be stolen or fumbled
5.) moving with the ball in a careful way would be good because in basketball you dribble the ball to maintain possession and also in soccer you need move with the ball carefully down the field.

5 things that I can do to keep possession is...
1)Move into Open Spaces: This helps to move the ball around without interference
2)Short Passes: There is a higher probability of getting the ball to another teammate b/c the passes will be more accurate
3)Protect the Ball: Fumbles in football are usually caused when the carrier doesn't protect the ball - This is the same reason for steals in soccer and basketball
4)Help Get a Clear Pass/Path: Defend the ball from an interception even if the ball isn't being thrown to you. You can also clear the path for an easy score in Basketball with a Pick&Roll
5)Throw the Ball to Different Open Teammates: Doing this will keep the defense guessing and will give them less time to react. If you throw to the same person, the defense will know your preference

5 thinks to maintain possestion:
Create open space- move around and so it is harder for the defenders to keep you from getting the ball
Give and go- a quick move to create open space and have the defenderers chasing you
Short quick passes- (in football) there is a higher chance of catching the ball than lobbing it down field so you gain some yardage, (soccer)keeps the defenders running because the ball can go faster than any player so defenders chase
shielding- (soccer) turning your back to the defender while holding the ball so it makes it harder for them to get to so they have to foul or get around you
Boxing out- (basketball) similar to shielding, position yourself between the basket and the defender and hold your arms out and stick your rear out so its harder for the defender to get the rebound

to keep the possesion of the bal u gotta first pass it to your player. be sure to do this or else u'll lose hte ball in more ways thanj 1. second, make sure that the person who you are throwing it to can catch it. like if it's a ridiculously hard pass, then don't expect someone with no expirience to catch it. also, make sure that the guy yu are throwing it to is open otherwise that will suck for you.
