Next week we will be performing our post test for skill related fitness. You may remember earlier in the semester we tested our agility with the shuttle run, our balance with the stork test, our coordination with the alt. hand ball throw, our power with the vertical leap, our reaction time with the ruler drop, and our speed with the 20m dash. Next week we will redo these tests ans see if our scores have improved as a result of your daily participation in physical activities.
For your blog question this week, I want you to tell me what effect improved skill related fitness will have on your overall health. In other words how can improving your skill related fitness improve your health.

Improving skilled related fitness will help me in many ways. One way is that improving speed will help me run to class! Also, reaction time can help me with volleyball or if I am about to drop something on the ground. If I continue to improve my skill related fitness, then will remain healthy until I'm old.
Improving your skill related fitness will greatly benefit your health because when you're better at running, have better reflexes, balance better, or have better coordination, it will help you with daily activities and sports activities. Improving our skill related fitness can greatly help our health in many ways. For example, 20 meter run (running) can help us to improve our respiratory and cardiovascular system. With good reaction time, we can preserve our health by blocking or dodging any harmful object that is on our way. Agility with the shuttle run can help us improve our leg muscles (especially endurance) which is really neccesary when we want to walk and move around in direction we want. Also, balance with the stork test can help us by letting us keep position that we want without falling or getting into trouble. Our coordination with the alt. hand ball throw help us by letting us locate an object. If it is harmful we can avoid it but if it is what we want, we want to be able to catch it. Our power with the vertical leap can improve our leg muscle,(epecially strngth) which can help us also when we walk and insert force with leg. These skills also help in our daily lives such as when we are playing sports.

For example, if I can touch my toes, I can also grab something from off the floor without crouching down or bending my legs.
