We have been working on Maintaining Possesion of the ball, Attack Space and Defending Space through gameplay! We have found that all invasion games are basicly the same with different skills, same concepts.
I would like you to create your own invasion game. Please name it, talk about what kind of equipment we will need and 3 rules that make it different from other sports. Please make sure your game is fun as well!

the game that i created is really wierd.Anyways it's called...uh Don't Lose It. You will need like a big bouncy ball like an excercising ball. You hold it and you throw it as far as you can with your eyes closed but you have a another team blocking you. Your partner isn't allowed to tell you exactly where they are but they can tell that there half way down the field to the right. The other team has a guy blocking the other person on the field. You need to be able to throw the ball down the field if your partner can catch it effectivley they can run 2 steps and try to score a goal. By the way you start all the way on the other side of the field not the center. And then you will switch but if the other team catches it they have to kick it to the opposite side to score a goal w/ atleast 3 passes.

VOCKEY!!!!!!!!!! YAY~!!!
well its like hockey but only you use a volley ball which is big but you probily know that. the concepts remain the same but you cant pic the ball up when it is in the air like in hockey. you can also kick it more and its more fun because the ball is really big!
you will need a hockey stick, a volley ball and two goals
rules that make it different: highstick is at shoulder, their cannot be anyone in the goal, and can not stop the ball if its in the air with your hand. lets play it mr. KIRK!!!!
OH MAN IM FIRST!!!!!!haha!!!
I would like to create a game called Vietnam Simulation Center For Ages 5-17. Basically, we would all paint our faces like the fellas from Apocalypse Now, bring a bunch of explosives (maybe take a field trip to the woods, i dont think they'd allow us to blow stuff up in the gym), and we have 2 teams, the red team and the blue team. Its like capture the flag, but with explosives and face paint...and for my 3rd piece of equipment...
a giant rat that pops up out of the ground with a large stun gun, and zaps you. his name is wallace.
3 rules are:
no low blows
no ingestion of flags
no outside food
sorry, but i can never seriously come up with this stuff.
at least i was first.
Guess who??

Kamikaze
It's a bit like capture the flag.
1.There are two flags for each team and the object is to defend it
2. Each team contains 11 players
3. As soon as you steal the other team's flag you have to scream KAMIKAZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

soccetball
it is a combination of soccer and basketball, you play the game of soccer, but you have to use the hoops as goals, you need soccer balls and hoops
you can only pass backwards, and horizontaly across the field/court
there are no fouls if someone falls down, but there is dangerous play
you can't use your head or upperbody.
My game is called....Basketvolly ball...So you use a volley ball and you have to score in the basketball hoops...The rules are that you can catch the ball but you have to hit it like a volley ball. You get 3 points for a basket no matter how close or far it is...The teams have 7 people

tennisoccer
You will need a tennis ball, goals and a tennis net. Half of each team is on either side of the net. There is a goalie in each goal. You cannot run while you have the tennis ball but you can pass or shoot it. You can run if you don't have the ball. You can't go to the other side The winner is the team that has gotten the tennis ball into their goal the most.
oh sorry that was Allie McRae that did tennisoccer.
the game i came up with is sort of like a game frost played. It's where an unlimited amount of people get into 2 teams and you have to crab walk on the ground. There is a BIG ball and you and your teammates have to kick it to the other end of the court on all fours. there can be 1 goalie per team and fouls are when you tocuh the ball w/ your hands, kick/hit someone on puropse, or stand up. Then the ball goes to the other team. You can move up and down the entire court but only touch the ball with your feet/ head. You only need the big ball because your goal is usually a big spot on the wall. There are out of bounds and it is the other teams ball. You can stand up and throw it in when it goes out of bounds. You mast have at least 2 kicks before shooting. The game is called... uh.. crab ball.. i think.
the game is called keep. You need two soccer balls one on each side of the field. the field is split in half as zones. you must try to get both balls in your zone with control over it. you can't shoot the ball down the field or pick up the ball. can be played with hockey variation, high sticking does apply.

Tennis v. 2
this version of tennis has no net and two goals spanning half the length of the baseline. There are two players on each team. They muust score the ball in the goal when they are between the service line and the baseline on the other side. A player cannot hit the ball over the distance of half the court. They may hit the ball (ie dribbling) a max of 10 times before they have to pass the ball. This uses the double boundaries.

Name: whackit smackit
Equipment: tennis racket, tennis ball, goals, head gear (optional)
Rules: There are seven players on a team, each equipped with a tennis racket. There is one tennis ball, and each team must try to score into the other teams goal. You cannot use your hand to pick up the ball, but must "dribble" it with the racket. Each team must pass at least three times before shooting. Fouls include intentional hitting of other players and picking up the ball with your hand.
"Vodgeball" It's a combo of Dodgeball and Volleyball.
Equipment: Two Teams of 7, 5 volleyballs
3 rules: 1. no kicking the ball.
2. No hits above the shoulder
3. To get out of jail you must have someone from your team give/throw you a ball and you must hit a person from the opposite team in the legs, it hast to be the legs or it wont be a challenge. ;)
Caution: you will have fun when playing
My game is sort of like capture the flag... I think. Whatever its like, its called Ninja Base. It can have up to four teams. Each team is color coded (this can be done with jerseys or by other means). Each team selects one person to be the "Squad Captain." This is the main person of that team. The opposing teams don't know who that person is... immediatley. They have to find out. The captain stays in a specific location called the Base. Each teams base is seperate and unkown to the other teams (thus it is an outside sport). There is a neutral zone in the center of the playing field. The squad members must find and "eliminate" the enemy captains without being captured. I forgot to mention that the captains have three feathers (or other object depending on circumstances). To eliminate a captain, each feather must be taken. A squad can only take one feather per team unless the feather they are taking is a feather from a different team entirely in which case the team whose feather was stolen from the team that stole the feather can still have feathers taken from them by the team that took it from the team who took it. When playing with only two teams, each member can take a feather, but at intervals of five minutes. When a feather is taken from a team, it must be given to the capain of the team that took it. A squad member can be captured if tagged within enemy lines (which can be helpful in finding out the enemy's location). When captured, a squad member is held captive for 3 minutes, unless freed by another teammate. If this happens, that player must take the captured players place and must remain ther for three minutes plus whatever time remained for the released player. The released must have their hands up to show that they are returning to their side of the field. After either all teams are eliminated except one or 30 minutes have passed (time can be changed) the game is over. Whichever team has the most feathers wins. Also, this game may be too complicated to actually work.

SoccerBasketball!
It might not be extremely original but ITS MY GAME.
This is wear there is two teams each consisting of any amount of player (on 7 v. 7 start), the ball used is a soccer ball, they equipment needed is shin guards and optional elbow pads, and soccerbasketball shoes, which are indoor soccer shoes with basketball souls. The object of the game is to get the soccerball in the basket any way possible without using your hands or arms. the feild will be &o yeards lond and 30 yeards wide, there will be a kick off and there will be free kicks annd outs, no throw ins only kick ins, you may score on a kick in. A free shot is were you get fouled but you can try tokick it or throw it in (just like in soccer) though you get two faults. THIS IS MY GAME... SOCCERBASKETBALL.

Mind if I call my game "The Rainy Day Game"?
Its fairly simple, two opposing teams are given volleyballs to pass around, however the ball cannot touch the ground. The teams must move in established paths or risk losing a point. (negative points can be awarded).Otherwise you can to pretty much anything, and yes, Ty you can use a variety of explosives. One more rule- it must be played outside when it rains.
Whops! sorry I forgot to add my name (god that was stupid) The last blog-"The Rainy Day Game" that one was mine

How about a combination of baseball and capture the flag. I can call it Hitting Far...sure Ill go with that. So there will be one person up to bat. And there will be a pitcher too. But both teams will be out in the field. And once the hitter hits the ball, both teams try to catch it. {and they are all wearing flags around their waist too}. Yeah so once they catch it, they run. And they need to run past a certain line to win. One rule would be that each player needs to be out on the field lined up as every other person on the same team. Another rule is that the pitcher must be on the other team. The last rule is that once someone catches the ball in the field, they must pass it to another player at least twice before passing the line. Oh and i think that instead of using a baseball, they should use a whiffel ball so it wont be hit way over the line.
Michael
the name of the game is footgoal and you need flags like flag football and pads you have a football you pass to your team to score in a tire and they have a goaly. you can hit the goaly and stuff to get him out.
Rules:
1).you cant drop the ball or esle it goes to the other team
2).if your flag gets taken the balls goes to the other team

Hi Josephine,
Your blog #6 has been corrected on ed-line. Thanks for letting me know.
Joey,
That is the longest blog of the year, awesome!

The name of the game is footketball. we need a football, basketball hoop, football field.
we run with the football to the basketball hoop you need to dunk it or shoot it. The rules are that you can't drop the ball and you can tackle someone but you can't elbow someone. The goal is to make a basket without being tackled.

can you check it. thanks.

Maddie:
I know this isn't the most action packed game but its an invasion game so here it goes.
Extreme Chess:
We will need teams of three, a giant chess board and life size chess pieces.
Rules-
1.After each move your team mates hit a button starting the timer for the other team.
2.You have to make your move within 10 sec. of the previous move and hit your timer. (Penalty for exceeding the time limit: other team gets to take a piece from the other team)
3. Players must not be on the board when it s not their turn. During your turn one team mate runs onto the board to move you pieces. (Running members switch each move)
(I know it is not very realistic but it all I have.)
My game is called twinball. It's based on a game of tag where everyone has one partner/twin. People sit on the ground and the person that sits in the front has to hold on to the ankles of the person in the back. You must cooperate to move. To play, you need two goals and a ball. The objective is to get the ball into the opposite team's goal... however,
1. The person in front cannot let go of the person's ankles.
2. If you let go or stand up... you are out of the game for 30 seconds, and later a minute... and so on...
3. Only the person in front can kick the ball or use their legs to control the ball, and the person in the back can use their hands.
4. If you have the ball, you cannot hold it for more than 3 seconds, you cannot move with the ball for more than 3 yards, but instead must pass it. You can pass it to your partner who is either in front or behind you, if the above restrictions are not broken.
Because it is hard to move, the two goals shouldnt not be placed too far apart, maybe the length of half the gym. The goalie does not have a twin, but he/she must remain in a "squat" position to be level with the other players.
Hmm... that might have been a little confusing... and thanks for fixing my grade.
My game is called Mission: Impossible. It is an espionage simulation game based on Capture the Flag.
In order to play this game, one must have two copies of Birds of the West Indies (extra cool bonus points to those who know why this specific book is used (awarded before game is played)) planted with a microdot containing sensitive information concerning military intelligence, cash and diamonds (or cookies) for bribery, feathers for tickling captured agents into revealing information, sunglasses with cyanide contained in the earpieces (to bite and commit suicide) to avoid interrogation (optional, HIGHLY not recommended), various disguises, and a field to play said game on.
The class is divided into two teams, or rather, two intelligence agencies (i.e. the Sluzhba Vneshney Razvedki (Russian foreign intelligence) vs. the Secret Intelligence Service (British foreign intelligence, formerly known as MI6)). Speaking with an accent or in another language is optional.
The copies of the bird field guide are hidden somewhere at opposite ends of the field, or on the person of an appointed team member. The field agents of both agencies disguise themselves and venture into foreign territory to obtain information about the whereabouts of the field guide. The rest of the team act as guards or red herrings.
There can be moles (informants working for the intelligence agency of an enemy nation), double agents (agents who pretend to spy on a target organization but in fact is loyal to the target organization), and even triple agents (agents pretending to be double agents for the target organization, but in fact is working for the controlling organization all along). These roles are selected out of a bowler hat (3 per team), because bowler hats look funny.
When information concerning the whereabouts is leaked, members must decide whether or not the source can be trusted. If the information is incorrect, members risk getting imprisoned by members of the opposing team or falling into a mud pit. Fun!
If one is accused of being an enemy spy on the defenders’ territory and gets imprisoned, one gets interrogated about the filed guide through a method called tickle torture. If useful intelligence is obtained from him, he will be released, but if not, he stays in prison for the duration of the game. He can take a nap and dream about being 007. If it is a person who has the field guide and he is an enemy informant, dead drops can be arranged to get the field guide to the other team.
The easy corruptibility of certain agents (especially by sweets) can be taken advantage of to obtain intelligence. Cookies are the preferred method of bribery.
Naturally, the first team to obtain the field guide wins.
Variation: Fingerprint or retina scans can be used to open a vault where the field guide is hidden. Photocopies of a selected member’s eye or finger (one on each team) are distributed among the teams.

P.S. Yes, I do have a spy complex. However did you find out?

The game i've thought of is kinda of a hybrid of basketball and football. You can use a anykind ball for this game. Also a goal post is needed. The point of this game is to use the ball and throw it over the goal post. Rules are that u can run with the ball, lateral forward(a.k.a pass), and that on out of bounds u have to pass the ball in. There are 4 downs, like in football and you need to gain yards twice in order to get another first down. Each time you score is 1 point.
The name of my game is called Voccer.
You will need a volleyball, 3 goals, a feild, and thats pretty much it.
The game is like soccer, each team tries to get the ball into the other teams goal, however instead of a soccerball you have...a volleyball!!
Also instead of using your foot you pass the ball like you would during a volleyball game. You hit the ball with your upperarm, or set (tapping the ball above your head) to pass to your teamates, and to score you can spike the ball into the goal.
The rules of this game are that:
- to start, the referee throws the ball in the air and the first person to whack it gets the ball
- you cant let the ball fall to the ground or the other team gets the ball
- spiking the ball at any other moment then when youre actually trying to get it into a goal will cause in having the ball given to the other team
- comment before by sarah sampliner

Extreme Ping Pong!!!
Ok so you need a really, really big ping pong table..and ping pong paddles...and a little ball..and at least seven people on both teams
Basically just smack the ball around trying to get it on the other teams side.
NO TOUCHING THE GROUND.
Whichever teams side the ball hits the ground on, the opposite team scores a point. theres no boundries really...just keep the ball inside the room youre playing in.
Fouls could be:
-tripping people
-knocking the paddles out of their hands
-hitting them in the face with the paddles
Very fun!!
the game that i would create would be a combo of football and soccer basiccly the rules would be that if u make a goal it would be for 6 points but then to get the extra point you would have to make a field goal the rules would be the same as the ones in football and soccer it is a very fun game its mostley soccer but with a football twist and when the balll goes into the air anybody can catch it and runn with the ball to make a touchdown.
my invasion game is called flagball. it is like capture the flag but it has 3 ruules.
1)you have to dribble the ball from the others goal innto your goal.
2)if you get caught u have to get out of the game for 1 min
3)you can tackle to get the ball away from the oter team

This is too long of a prompt and I have an A. I think i'll have to skip this one.

the invasion game is called world wide. you will need a soccer goal, a goalie and a soccer ball. each person needs to partner up and to win you need to be the last one standing. there is only one ball and partners get illiminated when they are the last to get the ball in. the goalie keeps kicking the ball out after each goal is made. 3 rules that make it different from other sports is that there can be more than one goalie, you cannot step inside the square where the goal is and you need to pass it to your partner before you shot the ball into the goal.
