Fitness testing is important because we can test our health level and see if we are healthy or not. It shows us how well we can participate in physical activities.
Also it allows us to see if our fitness is improving or not and allows us to set goals and achieve them. So the fitness testing can improve our health and fitness. However, one disadvantage of the fitness test is that we might concentrate too much on numbers instead of how well we can apply these concepts when playing a sport game or in a real life. Fortunately, all of the skills tested in the fitness test are required when playing sports. So, the test is valid.

We do the fitness test to see how much we improved over the course of a year. Benefits of fitness testing is seeing how much progress we have made this year. The drawbacks are that sometimes the fitness test doesn't demonstrate how much we have improved sometimes. If you didn't feel good the day of a test, it could alter your true level of fitness. We can ensure validity in our tests by trying your best during the tests.

Daniel Nozick says that fitness testing is important because we can see whether or not we are healthy. A benefit are that you can set future objectives and standards. A disadvantage is that testing does not put you under the pressure you would be under in a real game, so it is unreliable.

Fitness tests are important because we can determine the level of our health and learn about the fitness concepts at the same time.

Fitness testing is important because it lets us know where we are doing well, and where we need to improve. We benefit from fitness testing because it helps us to set a goal to work towards. A downside is that a person may try to push themselves to hard in order to fit in with the rest of the class. You know the tests are valid if you are able to phisically perform well in sports.

The importance of fitness testing is too see how healthy we are and what we need to do to continue to be healthy. The tests show us how we are doing and what we need to work on, so we can improve our fitness and our level of activity. One of the draw backs for fitness testing is we may not apply what we are doing now to our life in the future, becuase we focused on getting the best score or time. These tests are valid because people, sports or jobs may require tests on our endurence or strength.

The fitness tests are important because it lets us know whether or not we are in shape for our age, and if we aren't, we know what to do so we can improve. Some drawbacks are that the fitness tests aren't the only thing that you need to be able to do to be in shape. People have to be trustworthy in recording the scores, but if someone isn't fit, but the scores said they are, it will show during class.

Fitness testing shows you where you are on the health scale to see if you are healthy or not. Helps set goals of to improve the overall health. Benefits are improving health, fitness, endurance, stamina, etc. Drawbacks are some people may struggle to do them. And to ensure validity, you play a game or sport that tests the level of fitness that were used in testing.

By using a test to determine our fitness we can understand what we are good at and what we need to improve on. Also the test checks our overall health and places us in a zone of 'healthy fitness'. If we do not fall in that zone than we need to get more fit. If it is administered correctly than the test is valid

We have fitness test to test our fitness level. Are we average, above average or below average. This benefits us so we know what our level is. If we're average they we should keep doing what we are doing but try a little harder to be better. If we are above average, they we are really fit and healthy. If we are below average then we need to work harder to improve. Even with all the advantages of fitness testing, there are some drawbacks. For example, many of the tests are tiresome and tedious. We ensure validity by doing all of the tests correctly, and knowing our strengths and weaknesses so we can work to improve and become more fit. -Victoria Xu

We do fitness testing because it shows us how we compare to our peers as far as health goes. Fitness testing benefits us by telling us where we are health wise, and it helps us get to where we want to be.A draw back to fitness testing is that people do not always try, so it gives us an inaccurate reading. To ensure validity in our tests, we can give 100% in all the drills.

we need to do fitness tests so that we can determine where are and how much we need to improve with our fitness.
i think that the tests may be isleading because even though a mile isnt a very long distance the idea of just running doesnt really appeal to me. i would probably get a better time if i was playing some kind of game or chasing something.

Fitness testing is important and we do it because it allows us to see if we are in the healthy fitness zone for our age. Benefits of fitness testing is it allows us to see how much we have improved since the last testing and enables us to set fitness goals to be achieved the next time we do the fitness testing. One drawback of fitness testing is that it does not put you under the exact same pressure you would be under while playing a game. So to a certain extent it could be called invalid. But to ensure validity we try our bests and are trustworthy when recording scores.

Fitness testing is important because it gives ourselves an idea of how well we are doing physically, and whether we are healthy or not. It also shows us what areas we need to improve in. Overall, fitness testing helps keep ourselves informed about how well we are doing physically.

We do fitness testing in order to determine if we are in good or bad shape. The benefits of fitness testing are that we can find out what our physical needs are and what we need to improve on. Some drawbacks are that some people try to lift as much weight as they can to impress, instead of working on finding the right weight for themselves and doing consistent repetitions. In order to ensure validity in the tests, it is important that everybody is tested with the same exercises, and that everybody tries their hardest.

We do fitness testing to see if we are healthy and to see the improvements we make. The drawbacks of fitness tests is that they are not 100% accurate since you might feel bad one day or have a sore leg the other. You can ensure the validity of the tests by having someone watch you and see if you are really doing your best.

Fitness testing is important because it gies you a chance to see what you need to work on. The fitness test tests us on specific part of our body - cardio, flexibilty, endurance, etc. - which lets us zoom in on what we need to work on. Fitness testing also allows students to see if we are healthy and if we have improved. Although fitness testing is very good to determine if one is healthy, it also has flaws. For example, students can cheat by writing down a different score. Also, a student might be fit to himself, but that doesn't mean he is fit for the county's average scores.

We do the fitness testing to see what we should set our goals as to improve and become healthier over time. People can benefit from doing fitness testing because it always encourages us to do better and to get higher than the "healthy" fitness zone. Hopefully it will also encourage people to be more active. A drawback is that they are just random tests and don't test everything. There is really no way to ensure validity in these kinds of tests without being too time consuming.

Fitness testing is important because we are able to see where we stand in the healthy fitness zone. From there we can learn if we need to improve in some areas or maintain a the good work.

Fitness testing is important to realize your current level of fitness and then set goal based on your scores so that you can improve. fitness testing can help you confidence level as your scores improve, but a drawback is that you can feel worse if you make a mistake or feel sick on the day of the test and your scores don't demonstrate your abilities. to help get the most truthful test you can try to get a good nights sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and practice the test several times to make sure you know what you're doing

Fitness testing is important, because it tells us whether we're in good shape or not. If we're not in good shape, we know that we should be working to improve our fitness. The benefits are that we know how we're doing, and the drawbacks are that a great fitness isn't always the most important thing. The tests are definitely valid, because they test everything that is important to one's fitness.

Fitness testing is important because it compares us to others in the country to help determine our level of fitness and show how healthy we are. It helps improve our cardiovascular and muscular endurance and set goals to improve them. Drawbacks are that some people may not try hard on these tests. So, the best way to make sure that the test are valid is to try hard on them.

Fitness tests are important so we can see how fit we are, and how hard we need to work to get in shape/stay in shape. We do these tests to see if we are at a healthy level of fitness, and so we can challenge ourselves to do better. The benefits of these tests are that you can see if you need to work harder to become fit, or if you can just maintain your level of fitness. The drawbacks of these tests are that they take up a week of class, where you could be learning new things. We ensure validity in these tests by making sure we do them the same way at the beginning and end of the semester.

Edward,
We are only comparing our results with ourselves not others in the country. You are only mneasuring your improvement.

Fitness testing is extremely important because it shows where we are health wise and gives us the ability to set goals. Fitness testing is also important because it shows if our health has been improving or decreasing. The drawbacks of fitness testing is that at times we might be so focused on the numbers and push ourselves beyond our limit. However, a person with control can overcome this. The trick is not to push your self to the limit; we shouldn't cross the line. This is one way to ensure validity as well. Another way is to correctly time runs, count push-ups, etc.

Fitness testing is important because we can figure out if we are in the healthy fitness zone for our age group.
Though, through being able to see where we are in our health we can set goals for ourselves to motivate ourselves to get healthier. There are drawbacks with the fitness test and it is that on the day of the activity if we are injured or sick, we may not do as good as if we were not injured or sick. So it is not completely valid the test.

Fitness testing allows us to see our standings on physical ability in various classifications to help set and improve goals to create a greater physical ability. Ufortunately they are much too time consuming and should be improved so that less time could be put into Testing and instead, actually improving and playing sports.

testing our fitness is done for a variaty of reasons, such as testing our abilitys is a substantial part of everyday life by doing our fitness tests we are able to see our potential, fitness will continue to improve the more you try.
However a drawback is students may take fitness tests lightly and can easyly give up, but health can also be a problem because if you were some how sick that fitness day it may alter your fitness abilitys. but we can ensure validity by trying your best.

Fitness testing is important because it allows us to see how healthy we are. More than that, it shows exactly what aspects we are weak in and strong in. It shows where we need to improve and where we excell.
Most people do not believe fitness testing to be important and don't do their best while other people tend to try too hard and end up hurting themselves. These people are simply concentrating on getting the best score possible and either don't understand or don't care about what fitness testing stands for.
