I think my best position was pitcher, because I think I gave a pretty good pitch that gave the batter time to hit the throw and a good hit (most times). My worst position was probably fielder because It's hard to catch the softball, let alone the softball with a mit. Also, it takes a lot of thought into seeing where to throw the ball after you get it.

I guess my worst would have to be catcher, because it hurts my knees to be hunched over, and also, the softball is wet so it slips out of the glove easily.
I would say my best position that I played during the unit was pitcher because I just threw light, underhand tosses right down the middle that were hittable (for our purposes).
Have good coordination is necessary to pitch because you need to align your release point of your arm with the plate so the softball slips out of your hand nicely and goes straight over the plate.
out fielder cause its easy to catch a pop fly

I think that my best position was first base, because i can catch and throw well, both of which are needed to play first base well. Also i am familiar with how first base should be played. Any outfield position is the hardest as you must catch the fairly large ball (compared to the glove) and then throw far and accurately. First basemen need to be fast and have good reflexes to make the tough outs at their position. long arms would help to catch farther out balls too.

I think I was best at either of the 3 bases (1st, 2nd, 3rd) because I can catch pretty well and is able to get some people out. My worst position was probably being an outfielder because I would have to run after the ball and I would need to think where I would throw the ball to when I got it.
during softball, my best position was pitcher because i can get the ball to go to the same place almost everytime, and it is easy for the batters to hit it. however, during kickball, i was not good at pitching because the batters complained that i pithced too fast. during kickball, i was a good fielder because i can catch the ball easily. i am good at fielding because i have good hand eye coordination, and i know the proper way of catching.

In gym class i didn't really perform well at anything, but normally i think i am best at playing right field because i can catch pop flies and get them where they need to go quickly (most of the time). The position that is most challenging for me would be first base because... i dont really have a reason. I was just never good at it. I guess i had trouble reaching out to catch the ball before the runner got there. I have a pretty decent arm so it helps me throw the ball farther if i am playing in an outfield position.

I think that my best position was short stop. This is because I played baseball once a long time ago, and I primarily played short stop. My worst position is probably pitcher. I have never had a very good arm. and I have never really wanted to pitch. I am also good at short stop because Ihave the most pratice at it.
First base is probably my best position. I am able to catch the ball when thrown at me and I am well prepared to catch the ball as soon as the batter hits. I understand first base is probably the easiest base to get people out on and the quickest. My worst position is probably an outfielder because I am not good at estimating where the ball will land so i usually miss it and I cant throw very far so its hard to get the ball back to the infielders. I have good hand eye coordination which helps when catching the ball at first base. I also have good reflexes so I was able to get my glove up just in time to catch a ball.

i think my best position was third base person because I am okay at getting people out. my worst postition was batting, as many know, because i don't have the hand eye coordination, but once i did hit it i was good at running bases!
My worst position would have to be actully having to be up at bat, bacause i have no IDEA how to hit the ball.
My best position....... i didnt have a best position, but i guess was fielder, i can catch it but the ball is always so wet, that it makes it hard to hold on to. It takes speed and cordination to run and catch the ball, then throw it.

The position I was best at was pitcher because I learned how to be a better pitcher by throwing right down the middle. The position that was challenging is outfielder because when the ball goes in the air you dont know if you will catch it. Focusing is my physical atttribute because at pitcher you have to focus and know where to throw the ball.
Jake Morris
I beleive my best position was third base, since i could react and catch aball and then tag the base and get the runner out. My worst positioon was probably pitcher since i have a very bad through and i would have given the batter a walk since i would have gotten so many balls. It would take coordination to pitch since you need to align the ball with the batter.
Kristopher Neild
i think my best position was the feilder because i always knew where i had to throw the ball and catching is very easy for me. reaction time probably helps with this.
my worst position would be up at bat, even though i can usually hit the ball, it never goes in the direction i want it
Teresa Turmanian
I think my best position was third base because I have good hand eye coordination so I am good at catching balls. My worst position was outfielder because I do not have a strong throwing arm so I can't throw the ball far enough to get it to the infielders.
well normally in baseball i play second base, but often during the unit i had to play eitheir short stop or first, because i can catch and through well. because this was gym class, not many people had trainded their swing to send the ball where ever, so if you were a righty short stop was where u were going to hit the ball
my worst position normally is pitcher, becaus e its very hard to acuratly through a ball 40 mph, but in class i felt fine at every position.
the position i was best at was 1st base because i learned how to catch and tag somebody out and it felt good.
Heza M
Sam Zacks - My best position was pitcher because i had a pulled hamstring and it rarely requires running. I am good at this position because i have accurate throwing. My worst position is first base because i don't have good hands and i'm not good at catching the ball so i can't tag the base before the runner gets there.
Young Sung Hong
Since I have good power and quick response time,my best position was batter. Power was needed to hit the ball hard with the bat and quick response time was needed to hit the ball quickly and accurately.
My worst position was outfielder because I'm not fast. In order to be a good outfielder you need to possess good speed because you have to get to the ball fast and when you are tagging, you need to run fast and tag the batter.
better at outfield it was easier for me to catch it
worse at pitcher because i am bad at throwing
-eddy y
I was pretty good at shortstop because i could easily field a grounder and throw the runner out. I was bad being a pitcher because I have no aim whatsoever. Having good reaction time and maybe a good arm are physical attributes that help me perform well at my position.
Eddie Tsao
Philip Ni
I think my best position would be a outfielder because when the ball went out, it also went higher, making the ball easier to catch.
Sorry about missing some of the blogs I can't figure out how to get to the older ones that I missed.
I think my best position would have been pitcher, even though I didn't pitch in class I'm pretty good at throwing.
I think my worst would probably be anything that requires catching because I'm not very good at catching with the baseball gloves or just catching in general (:
-Emily Corcoran
Daniel Nozick: Hitting was easiest for me because i have the strength, and the speed to run the bases. The hardest was probably pitcher, because it is harder to throw underhand than overhand for me....
Irene Yang
i think i was most comfortable as catcher. i can throw pretty well when not very rushed, and i can catch decently.
outfield was most challenging because i found it hard to judge how far the ball would go and i slipped a lot in the wet grass...oh and i can't throw very far (with a direction).
Nicolas Texier
My best position I feel is fielder because I have a pretty strong and accurate throw.
My worst position would have to be batter because I do not have good timing when it comes to hit a ball with a bat.
I think I am good as an out fielder because of my strong legs that allow me to run where the softball was hit quickly and because of my long arms because they allow me to throw far.
I think that my best position was at one of the bases since i didn't have to catch any hard throws.
My worst would be outfielder because catching a softball that is coming toward you a lot faster is challenging.
It takes a lot of focus and hand-eye coordination since you have to look where the ball is coming and accurately place the mitt near the same spot.
-Edward Wang
I felt best being the catcher, because the ball didn't always come to me, but when it did I could throw it back or catch it. I didn't like playing second base, because I'm not that good at catching the ball. I was okay playing catcher, because I can throw easily.
-Antara Joardar
Subhradeep Datta
My best position in softball is 3rd base base because I am a good cather. My worst position is probably pitcher because i am an inconsistant thrower.
luke moon
I guess me worst position was the 1st-3rd basses because i was not a very good catcher
my best position was the out field because the ball hardly came there it may sound like i have low self estem, because i do have low self estem but by going to out field i enabled myself to help the team.
it is important to have good coordination because this skill lets you catch the ball having coordination can help make up for my weakness in catching.
I think I did best at 1st base because first of all I'm a lefty and usually lefty's are usually 1st base. Also I feel that I am very good at catching because I have fast reflexes and a relatively good eye. I can usually catch the balls that come to me and tag the runner out. 3rd base was slightly challenging because I'm not a very strong thrower. My arms aren't as strong as they need to be in order to thrown across the field to 1st base so usually the ball doesn't reach their destination.

[Johnny Stopher]
My best position was probably shortstop... i enjoyed being able to catch and i had the ability to decide where to throw the ball to where it needed to go quickly to prevent the runner from going to home base. It was good also because I could be a big team player rather than the 'i-have-an-unimportant-position-so-ill-just-sit-around' kind of player.
oops-i forgot to write what my worst position was--[johnny stopher]
i was bad at pitcher because i am bad at estimating the distance/amount of force needed to be exerted on the ball to get it to the plate but making it hittable.
Subhradeep Datta
The best position for me was 1st base. This is becaus I was able to learn to catch all the balls coming to me from the batter. Also I had to be extra attentice so as to catch the foul balls and get outs. My worst postion would be pitcher because I did not play it that much. Also when I did play my balls usually went to the side or it the batter.
I don't think that i had a good position, but my worst position was outfielder because I'm not good at catching or throwing.
-Isabelle Ku
Kevin Liao-
Since I can run longer distances better I was a better out fielder
I'm not good at throwing or catching fast low balls so I wasn't very good at any of the bases
Lauren Celine - regarding my grade in class
It still says i have a D in your class even though i have done all the blogs so far. My edline says i have a 0/30 on the Fitness Test, which i am assuming is the fitness gram thing we did? I have done every single thing in class so far and turned it in, so please let me know what this is.
Thank you (:
I was pretty good at catching and pitching. my worst position would be catcher because i sometimes let the ball slip away.
Kelsey M
Philip Ni
My best position would be out fielder because the ball would go higher when it was hit out, which made It easier. My worst position would have to be pitcher because I couldn't aim well enough.
Mr. Kirk
I think you forgot to excuse me from the activities that I didn't do: like some of the fitness tests. I switched to your class on September 16. So, please excuse me from activities before that date. Thank you.
