Fitness testing is realy for ourself as students. The fitness testing we do only help us it does not help MR. Kirk or Mr. Puhl. We do fitness testing so that we can become more healthy and fit. Fitness testing is important because it shows people what areas they could improve on in order to be more healthy. We do it becuase if it wasn't required, many people might not pay attention to fitness. It's benificial because it teaches people to be more aware of their health, and take steps to improve it. One drawback is that people may not take it seriously, in which case it won't help them. Also, sometimes BMIs are not good indicators of a healthy weight. To ensure validity, everyone does the tests the same way each time they do them so that we can accurately compare results.

Fitness testing is important because it gives us an opportunity to compare ourselves to our class as well as the country. It also allows us to see where we are, compare it to where we want to be, and give us goals. One of the drawbacks is that if a student does poorly compared to the rest of the class, that student feels ashamed. In order to make sure that these tests are as accurate as possible, we take out as many independent varibles as we can, such as speed in pushups and distance in the pacer. Also, students are encouraged to do as well as they can in order to give an accurate reading of where we actually are.

Fitness testing is important because the reason for gym is no improve your physical heath and skills. By testing at the beginning and end of the semester helps show progression or digression of your skills. Doing fitness testing has the benefit of causing ones self to become more fit. The drawbacks of fitness testing are that your muscles may temporarily be strained from having more activity than usual or people will cheat my purposely doing badly the first time and try the second time to fake progress. Besides this the validity of the test is ensured by using the recorded voice for each trial (ex. for push ups "up ... down" is the same speed each time). the importance is that we can see how much our skills increase by the end of the semester wen we see the difference of how we did in the beggining of the year to the end of the year. drawbacks are that your whole body aches after the tests after going all out.

Fitness tesing is important for us students to see which areas we need to work on to make ourselves healthier and more fit. It also helps the teachers to see how much each student has improved in each area during the school year, by showing the results of the tests on the beginning and the end of the year. To ensure the validity, the recording is used, making sure that everyone does everything in the same speed, and there is mr Kirk and mr Puhl walking around to make sure everybody is doing things the same way. Also, both fitness testings, in the beginning and the end of the school year, are performed the same way(ex.regular or modified push-ups all the way~).
